Roses is a multi-generational family saga that is very well written. I'm not sure if I've ever encountered a book with more frustrating characters - particularly the women who were either obsessed with the Somerset plantation or else manipulative and vindictive.

Pretty much everyone needed their heads knocked and their priorities realigned!/5(). Still, I LOVE looking at this book. It would be a very good book to have when planning a rose garden because the author gives candid information on the hardiness and general requirements of each rose, which I appreciate.

If you love roses, or need a gift for someone who does, this book makes a wonderful addition to the garden library/5(37). Bad roses, company not contactable.

Brought 2 roses, 1 came with severe powdery mildew requiring most of the leaves to be cut away, the other one doesn’t shown much signs of fungus but came with many aphids. A week later, this other rose shown severe cankers that require most of the branches to be cut right to the bottom.
